Job summary

Choate Construction Company is seeking a Superintendent in Florida with 3+ years of leadership to own the build from day one through closeout. You will lead safety, manage multi-project delivery, and partner with owners, trade partners, and internal teams to drive collaboration.

As a 100% employee-owned firm, Choate emphasizes safety, accountability, and personal growth. Procore experience and a proven track record in planning, scheduling, and field leadership are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience delivering complex, full-cycle projects.
• Onsite leadership with a focus on safety culture and team accountability.
• Ability to review and interpret drawings, specs, contracts and scopes.
• Experience coordinating with owners, trade partners, and internal teams.
• Procore proficiency to streamline site communications and docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from day one through final closeout with a strong field presence.
• Champion safety and drive a culture of ongoing protection of personnel.
• Review, interpret, and communicate construction documents to ensure alignment.
• Build trust across owners, trade partners, and internal teams for successful outcomes.

• You can demonstrate you have championed Safety as an onsite leader on a consistent basis.
• You have experience leading and managing projects from day one through project completion.
• You have demonstrated success in the creation and execution of project planning and scheduling.
• You can demonstrate the ability to thoroughly review, interpret, and clearly communicate construction documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work, to ensure accurate execution, alignment across teams, and successful project delivery You have led project teams through strong relationships, serving as the primary field leader who builds trust with owners, trade partners, and internal teams to drive collaboration, accountability, and successful outcomes.
• You can effectively leverage construction management platforms such as Procore to streamline jobsite communication, coordinate daily activities, manage documentation, and support efficient project execution.
