Job summary

Choate Construction Company is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead field teams onsite, champion safety, and support full-cycle projects across multiple types. You will help drive planning, scheduling, and communication with owners, trade partners, and internal staff to ensure on-time, safe project delivery.

The role emphasizes strong relationship-building, field leadership, and using Procore to streamline daily site activity and document control, contributing to Choate’s safety culture

Qualifications

• Experience championing safety as an onsite leader.
• Experience assisting with managing projects from day one through completion.
• Experience creating and executing project planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field activities and coordinate with trade partners and owners.
• Review and communicate construction documents, contracts, and scopes of work clearly.
• Drive collaboration, accountability, and project delivery in partnership with internal teams.
• Leverage Procore to streamline site communications and document management.

• You can demonstrate you have championed Safety as an onsite leader on a consistent basis.
• You have experience in assisting with managing projects from day one through project completion.
• You have demonstrated success in assisting with the creation and execution of project planning and scheduling.
• You can demonstrate the ability to thoroughly review, interpret, and clearly communicate construction documents, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work, to ensure accurate execution, alignment across teams, and successful project delivery
• You have assisted with leading project teams through strong relationships, serving as a field leader who builds trust with owners, trade partners, and internal teams to drive collaboration, accountability, and successful outcomes.
• You can effectively leverage construction management platforms such as Procore to streamline jobsite communication, coordinate daily activities, manage documentation, and support efficient project execution.
