Ceres Environmental Operations (CEO) is a leader in crisis management, rapid response, and disaster recovery, committed to rebuilding stronger, safer communities. We specialize in emergency response, environmental services, planning, and consulting, including debris removal, temporary blue roofs, logistics, debris management, demolition, recycling, forest management, and coastal and marine restoration. As a licensed general contractor with bonding capability of $2 billion, we offer unparalleled expertise to restore stability where it’s needed most.
Are you retired from USACE, FEMA or other federally funded emergency response industry? Do you have experience overseeing field crews? Have experience in debris operations, field production, or construction management? Are you looking for meaningful work to help local communities’ recovery from natural disasters? Then read on…
At CEO, we believe you’re more than just an employee; you’re part of a team with a purpose and a meaningful mission. Every team member plays a vital role in restoring hope, helping communities recover and rebuild.
We value initiative, respect diversity, and give our people the freedom to lead. We expect high levels of effort and strong ethics. We offer competitive pay, travel opportunities, and a culture built on resilience and teamwork. If you show up with compassion, share the commitment, react with urgency, and deliver solutions, you’ll fit right in. We don’t just respond to challenges; we rise to them.
As part of our workforce strategy, our goal is to hire and onboard a cohort of Superintendents by July. Selected candidates will be invited to participate in an immersive, onsite training program designed to align on Ceres’ operating standards, safety protocols, and field execution expectations. Following this initial training period, individuals will transition into on‑call status, remaining engaged and prepared for rapid deployment as project needs arise. This approach ensures both readiness and continuity, enabling our teams to respond quickly and effectively when activated while providing candidates with early exposure to our culture, processes, and leadership expectations.
We’re building a ready-to-deploy pipeline of trained Superintendents to support emergency activations across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. As a Superintendent you will ensure quality, compliance, and production integrity of our debris removal and emergency response activations. The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership, operational discipline, and financial acumen, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and changing conditions.
You will be hands‑on, safety‑driven, and highly organized, capable of planning work, directing the daily activities of workers and subcontractors, managing materials and schedules, and ensuring strict adherence to contract requirements. Success in this role requires the ability to coordinate multiple work streams, resolve issues quickly in the field, and interface effectively with government representatives, inspectors, suppliers, and labor representatives while maintaining clear communication with project management.
We are looking for a leader who takes ownership of outcomes, holds teams accountable, and consistently looks for ways to improve productivity, quality, and profitability. This role requires the ability to work extended hours when needed, thrives in deployed and travel‑heavy roles, and be responsive to disaster‑affected environments with minimal notice to stabilize operations and deliver results.
Above all, this role demands a Superintendent who champions a safety‑first culture, leads by example, and balances operational execution with financial and workforce awareness to drive successful project completion.
As a Superintendent at Ceres, you’ll contribute directly to the success of our disaster recovery and environmental service projects by helping ensure we meet all required standards for quality and compliance. In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate closely with project managers and field teams, gaining hands‑on experience in both office and field environments. Flexibility is key, as you’ll travel to various sites and adapt to changing conditions. Your work will help uphold Ceres’ reputation for excellence, reliability, and responsiveness in the communities we serve.
