Job summary

LHH is partnering with a leading specialized construction firm to hire a General Superintendent for Sacramento. This leadership role oversees Superintendents and field crews, ensuring manpower, productivity, safety, and quality to complete projects on time and within budget.

The position is direct hire with a salary between $165K-$210K plus bonus. A BA/BS in construction or related field is a plus; 10 years field experience preferred; proficiency in MS Office and CAD experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 10 years of field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction operations, installation methods, codes and specs, and local safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assign Superintendents and Foremen to projects and support field leaders with planning, material ordering, and manpower needs.
• Monitor field projects, labor efficiencies, hours, ratios, and staffing for the branch or division.
• Track material costs, storage, usage, and orders while maintaining required installation documentation and company policies.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Foremen, Safety Managers, Project Managers, contractors, and customers to address safety, quality, and installation concerns and keep projects on track.

This leadership role is responsible for managing Superintendents and field employees while overseeing manpower, productivity, quality, safety, labor costs, materials, and other activities that support successful project completion. This is a direct hire job, offering a salary between $165K - $210K+ bonus. Here are some more details to consider:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assign Superintendents and Foremen to projects and support field leaders with job planning, material ordering, and manpower needs.
• Monitor field projects, labor efficiencies, hours, ratios, and projected staffing needs for the branch or division.
• Track material costs, storage, usage, and orders while maintaining required installation documentation and ensuring company policies are followed.
• Partner with Superintendents, Foremen, Safety Managers, Project Managers, contractors, and customers to address safety, quality, technical, and installation concerns and keep projects on track.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10 years of field experience, including experience as a Foreman or in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction operations, installation methods, applicable codes and specifications, and local jobsite quality, safety, and health guidelines.
• BA/BS degree in construction or a related field is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong organizational and time-management skills; familiarity with CAD software is preferred.
