Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our El Segundo, CA office to support the Superintendent by coordinating subcontractors and supervising laborers at the construction site. You will monitor performance, progress and productivity while helping manage costs per contract documents, ensuring work aligns with company standards and owner expectations.

The role requires five years of field Interior or commercial construction experience, plus one year of direct supervisory

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of field interior or commercial construction experience.
• Public works, design-build or school campus style projects experience preferred.
• 1 year of direct supervisory experience.
• Proficiency using a PC and Microsoft Office tools (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Ability to read plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors or supervise laborers and craft workers at the site.
• Monitor work performance, progress and productivity of crews.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of previous field Interior or commercial construction experience.

• Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
• Ability to read plans and specs.

The compensation for the Assistant Superintendent position above in Los Angeles ( El Segundo office) is $100,000 - $120,000.
