Keystone Distinction Group in Fresno, CA is seeking a General Superintendent – Heavy Civil Infrastructure to lead field construction across earthwork, structures, civil, and transportation scopes. This executive role drives safety, schedule adherence, budget control, and high-quality field execution on a landmark 32-mile transportation megaproject.

The position requires 15+ years in construction with 10+ in superintendent roles on major projects valued at $200M+.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience.
• 10+ years as a Superintendent on heavy civil projects.
• Experience leading projects valued at $200M+
• Prior superintendent experience on bridge, highway, transit, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. construction methods and standards.
• Experience with public agency clients preferred.
• Knowledge of labor relations, subcontract management, local trades, and union environments.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, Procore or similar software.
• OSHA and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical field leadership including drawings, means and methods.
• Support project management with schedule development and site logistics procedures.
• Drive Site Specific Safety Plan and strong safety culture.
• Coordinate daily with owner representatives, inspectors, agencies, and leadership teams.
• Mentor and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and field staff.

Salary Range: $240,000 – $290,000 (Based on Experience)

About the Project

Join one of California’s largest transportation infrastructure programs in the Central Valley. This landmark project includes a 32-mile corridor with major scopes such as roadway and railroad grade separations, viaducts, tunnel work, utility relocations, trench sections, roadway improvements, and a major river crossing.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field construction operations across multiple disciplines including earthwork, structures, civil, and transportation scopes. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving safety, schedule, quality, subcontractor performance, and daily field execution on a large-scale heavy civil project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct discipline Superintendents across earthwork, structures, and civil construction operations
• Ensure all work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans and specifications
• Oversee field planning, scheduling, sequencing, logistics, manpower, and subcontractor coordination
• Enforce contract requirements, quality standards, and productivity expectations for crews and subcontractors
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and site resources for maximum efficiency
• Provide technical field leadership including drawing interpretation, means and methods, and equipment recommendations
• Support project management with schedule development, site logistics plans, procedures, and documentation controls
• Drive implementation of the Site Specific Safety Plan and maintain strong field safety culture
• Coordinate daily with owner representatives, inspectors, agencies, and internal leadership teams
• Resolve field issues quickly to maintain uninterrupted progressMentor and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and field leadership staff

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience
• 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil projects
• Experience leading projects valued at $200M+
• Prior superintendent experience on bridge, highway, transit, or large infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of U.S. construction methods, means and methods, and industry standards
• Experience working with City, State, or Federal public agency clients preferred
• Knowledge of labor relations, subcontract management, local trades, and union environments
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, Procore, or similar construction software
• OSHA Certification and First Aid certifications preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
