Job summary

Contegra Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, and design-build projects. You will coordinate daily site activity, manage subcontractors, drive schedule performance, and uphold Contegra’s safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive field experience in construction.
• 3+ years of experience as a Lead Superintendent, Superintendent, or similar field leadership role.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or other complex construction projects.
• Design-build experience preferred; strong knowledge of means, methods, sequencing, field operations, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, shop drawings, and contract documents.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and activities simultaneously.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project close out.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, field personnel, and project stakeholders.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and short-interval work plans to keep projects on schedule.
• Monitor project progress and resolve field issues before they impact delivery.
• Lead jobsite safety efforts and promote a strong culture of safety.
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, contract requirements, and company quality standards.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, equipment utilization, material staging, inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Conduct project walks to monitor productivity, quality, safety, and overall jobsite performance.
• Lead daily huddles, subcontractor coordination meetings, planning meetings, and project startup meetings.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field team members.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, design consultants, owners, and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
