Job summary

Element2 Group in Boston seeks a Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial interior renovations in Boston and Greater Boston. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and maintain schedules for projects ranging from tenant fit-outs to large interior renovations.

The role requires coordinating with building management in occupied spaces, reading drawings, and leveraging Procore/Fieldwire to track progress. CSL is a plus, full-time on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Superintendent on commercial interior construction projects.
• Experience coordinating with union trades and understanding union jobsite operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing projects in occupied environments is preferred.

Construction Superintendent – Commercial Interiors

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial interior renovation projects throughout Boston and Greater Boston This individual will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors and building management, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Projects range from smaller renovations around $5,000 to large-scale interior fit-outs exceeding $10M+, with most projects falling within the 10,000–50,000 square foot range. This role is best suited for a hands-on Superintendent who thrives in fast-paced occupied environments and can effectively manage multiple moving parts on complex interior projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day jobsite operations for commercial interior renovation projects
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
• Coordinate site logistics including deliveries, access, shutdowns, and building impairments directly with property management teams
• Schedule and oversee required city inspections
• Ensure quality control and craftsmanship across all trades
• Maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness standards
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Participate in weekly project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and internal project teams
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and schedule updates effectively
• Manage union and non-union subcontractors while maintaining strong jobsite coordination and productivity

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Superintendent managing commercial interior construction projects
• Experience working with union trades and understanding union jobsite operations
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and trades
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience managing projects ranging from tenant fit-outs to large-scale interior renovations
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Experience coordinating within occupied buildings and active environments preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Fieldwire (or similar construction management software such as Procore)
• Construction Supervisor License (CSL) preferred but not required
