We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our team in the Construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, including quality control, cost control, negotiation, strategic planning, team leadership, time management, resource allocation, safety management, change management, conflict resolution, and construction management. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the construction industry to lead our team in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• 1. Lead the Charge: Own it. Drive projects to completion with precision, speed, and the highest standards. Safety is always front and center—but excellence is what drives you.
• 2. Coordinate Ops: Lead teams of Benchmark employees and subcontractors, ensuring daily field operations run smoothly. From safety checks to quality control, you’ll be in charge of making sure it all gets done, on time, and at the highest standard.
• 3. Mentor: Shape the next generation of construction leaders by sharing your knowledge, experience, and drive for excellence.
• 4. Collaborate: Work closely with Project Managers to keep schedules on track, tackle challenges head-on, and adjust when things shift. You’re strategizing, solving, and ensuring smooth delivery.
• 5. Learn and Execute: Know the game plan, and master the strategy. From financial goals to scheduling, you’ll ensure every aspect of the project stays on course. Logistics, milestones, inspections—you’ve got it all covered.
• 6. Build Relationships: You’re the client’s go-to. Understand their needs, exceed their expectations, and make sure every interaction reflects 7. Commitment to quality. You’ll also set the standard for positive, professional relationships with subcontractors and vendors—instilling fairness and professionalism in every project.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry. (General Contractor)
• Proven experience in quality control, cost control, negotiation, strategic planning, team leadership, time management, resource allocation, safety management, change management, conflict resolution, and construction management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong strategic planning and resource allocation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.
• A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
