We’re partnering with a leading national electrical contractor to identify experienced Superintendents to support major electrical construction projects across the US, including large-scale data center developments. The business has a strong reputation for delivering complex electrical projects, with a team-oriented culture that empowers its people and prioritises quality, collaboration and successful project execution.

About the Role

The Superintendent will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical construction projects, overseeing project teams, schedules, budgets, procurement and client relationships to ensure successful project completion. This opportunity is particularly suited to an experienced electrical construction professional with a background in data centers, mission-critical facilities, healthcare or airport projects. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing complex, fast-paced projects while travelling nationally and coordinating closely with field operations and senior leadership.

The initial project is based in Georgia, with a travel rotation of four weeks on-site followed by an extended weekend at home. Travel arrangements typically involve flying home on Wednesday around midday and returning on Sunday, although some Saturdays will be required.

  • Eligibility for project-based and annual bonuses
  • Four-weeks-on travel rotation with extended weekends at home
  • Opportunity to work on major electrical and mission-critical construction projects
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • Additional employee benefits and professional development opportunities
Responsibilities
  • Lead field installations to ensure electrical construction work meets project schedules, budgets and quality requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop field personnel, including journeymen and apprentices, establishing clear expectations and maintaining accountability.
  • Manage workforce planning and update staffing projections regularly to ensure appropriate labour resources are available.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners and other site teams to maintain efficient construction sequencing and site logistics.
  • Oversee material procurement, equipment requirements, prefabrication planning and delivery tracking to prevent delays.
  • Monitor and update construction schedules, maintaining accurate look-ahead plans and addressing potential delays proactively.
  • Enforce company safety standards, lead toolbox talks and pre-task planning, and promote a safety-first culture across the site.
  • Ensure electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC/NFPA 70), project specifications and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review construction drawings, one-line diagrams, shop drawings and BIM/VDC coordination outputs to support accurate, code-compliant installations.
  • Coordinate with General Contractors, clients, inspectors and trade partners, representing the electrical team in site meetings and coordination discussions.
  • Identify scope changes and support the preparation of RFIs, submittals and change order documentation.
  • Monitor field productivity, resolve installation challenges and communicate project risks to management to maintain delivery targets.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in the electrical trade, with progressive field leadership experience as a Leadperson, Foreman or Superintendent.
  • Previous experience working for an electrical contractor is required.
  • Active state Journeyman or Master Electrician licence in the state of hire, or the ability to obtain one promptly.
  • Proven experience delivering commercial or industrial electrical construction projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, hospitals or airports is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, one-line diagrams, shop drawings, submittals and BIM/VDC coordination outputs.
  • Experience managing field crews, subcontractors, labour requirements and material coordination.
  • Must be willing and able to commit to the national travel requirements and four-weeks-on rotation.
