Founded in 2000, Pinnacle Construction Development Group, Inc. (Pinnacle) is a General Contractor specializing in the Federal Marketplace. Pinnacle is an industry leader in unique, complex, and safety-critical projects and takes pride in consistently delivering quality work on time and within budget.

Due to continued growth, Pinnacle is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our field operations team in Cleveland, Ohio. This position will be based full-time on an active federal construction site in the Cleveland area, with occasional travel to other Pinnacle project sites as operational needs require.

The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the construction industry and the ability to independently manage and coordinate subcontractors, interpret construction drawings and specifications, maintain project documentation, and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and the Pinnacle project team.

Strong technology skills are essential to this position. The Superintendent must be comfortable working with digital drawings, specifications, project documentation, daily reports, submittals, schedules, and other electronic project-management tools. Candidates should be able to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes while maintaining accurate, timely project records.

This position requires a professional, solutions-oriented leader who can build strong working relationships, communicate clearly, anticipate project needs, and effectively represent Pinnacle with our federal clients and trade partners.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FIELD LEADERSHIP & COORDINATION
  • Provide day-to-day field leadership and supervision of Pinnacle personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and project activities.
  • Coordinate subcontractor sequencing, manpower, deliveries, access, and daily work to maintain safe and efficient project operations.
  • Lead regular coordination and scheduling meetings with active trades and communicate upcoming activities, constraints, and project priorities.
  • Understand the overall project plan and schedule, identify potential impacts, and work collaboratively with the Project Manager to resolve issues and maintain progress.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, approved submittals, RFIs, and other project documents to ensure work is properly coordinated and installed.
  • Maintain awareness of project scope and communicate potential changes, unforeseen conditions, or cost impacts to the Project Manager promptly.
PROJECT DOCUMENTATION & TECHNOLOGY
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete project documentation using Procore and other applicable project-management systems.
  • Prepare and upload Daily Job Logs documenting manpower, work performed, site conditions, deliveries, safety activities, progress, and significant project events.
  • Maintain accurate field records, as-built drawings, photographs, reports, and other required project documentation.
  • Review and monitor project submittals and approved materials/equipment prior to installation.
  • Use digital drawings and specifications effectively in the field and remain adaptable to new technology, software, and project-management processes.
  • Coordinate documentation and information between the field, Project Manager, subcontractors, and client to keep project decisions and work activities moving efficiently.
SAFETY & QUALITY CONTROL
  • Promote a strong safety culture and incorporate safety planning into all project activities.
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections, identify deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Implement and enforce applicable project safety plans, Activity Hazard Analyses, and site-specific requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor work for compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, quality requirements, and Pinnacle standards.
  • Inspect delivered materials and equipment for proper quantity, condition, and conformance with project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate as-built information and proactively manage quality throughout construction to support an efficient closeout and minimal punch list.
CLIENT & SUBCONTRACTOR RELATIONSHIPS
  • Establish and maintain professional, productive relationships with federal clients, subcontractors, vendors, facility personnel, and other project stakeholders.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully while addressing field conditions, schedule requirements, coordination issues, and project expectations.

  • Understand and respond appropriately to customer-specific requirements, particularly those associated with working within an active federal facility.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager as an aligned project leadership team to support successful, safe, timely, and profitable project delivery.
FEDERAL SITE & SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Comply with all access, security, badging, and operational requirements associated with work at a Government facility.
  • Coordinate subcontractor and visitor badging/sponsorship requirements.
  • Coordinate deliveries, site access, and other activities requiring communication with Government security or facility representatives.
  • Maintain the professionalism and discretion expected while working within an active federal environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5–10 years of construction field experience, including experience in a Superintendent or comparable field leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, sequencing, subcontractor coordination, safety, and quality control.
  • Federal construction and Prevailing Wage experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specifications, details, and other contract documents to field operations.
  • Strong computer and technology skills, including the ability to work effectively with digital project documentation and project-management platforms; Procore experience preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn new software, systems, and client-specific processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and make sound field decisions with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Experience identifying construction hazards and implementing appropriate mitigation and safety measures.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field beneficial, but not required.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening and obtain access credentials for federal facilities.
  • Ability to work full-time at a Cleveland-area project site and occasionally travel to other Pinnacle jobsites as business needs require.
REQUIRED TRAINING
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors preferred; required within 90 days of employment
  • Current applicable Fall Protection and Scaffolding training preferred; required within 90 days of employment

Additional training such as 40-Hour HAZWOPER, Excavation/Trenching/Shoring, asbestos-related training, and other federal construction safety certifications is beneficial.
