Just Construction Recruitment seeks a Superintendent to lead ground-up commercial projects in the Charleston area. Ideal candidate is a proven field leader capable of managing complex jobs from start to finish.

Responsibilities include overseeing daily field operations, coordinating subs, maintaining schedules, and ensuring safety and quality. Strong communication with PMs, owners, architects, and trades is essential for milestone-driven delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of superintendent experience in commercial general contracting.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proven leadership and subcontractor coordination skills.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily field operations and site activities.
• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, and construction sequencing.
• Maintain project schedules, safety standards, and quality control.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, manpower, and field coordination.
• Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and closeout activities.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and company standards.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts in collaboration with project teams and trade partners.
• Lead jobsite safety initiatives and maintain an organized, productive work environment.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Drive schedule performance and ensure milestone completion.
