Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Superintendent in Birmingham, AL to lead field operations on ground-up projects. You will coordinate daily site activities, manage subcontractors, and drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence from mobilization through turnover.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of supervision experience in ground-up commercial work, with knowledge of drawings, specs, and RFIs. Travel to project sites and OSHA/First Aid certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction field supervision experience.
• Ground-up commercial construction experience.
• Experience leading projects from site mobilization through final turnover.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, manpower, deliveries, and site logistics.
• Ability to develop and maintain master schedules, short-interval plans, and look-ahead schedules.
• Working knowledge of structural, architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• OSHA training and current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned project locations.

Job Details

• Coordination with owners, design professionals, project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal support teams
• Resolution of field conflicts, scope gaps, sequencing issues, and constructability challenges
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and digital construction management platforms
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills
• OSHA training and current First Aid/CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned project locations
• Ability to work in active construction environments and perform the physical functions required for field supervision
