Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on commercial and industrial ground-up projects in Eastern Pennsylvania, from preconstruction through turnover. You will manage schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a superintendent, strong reading of drawings, proven leadership, and familiarity with Procore.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on commercial/industrial projects.
• Experience managing ground-up commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of sitework, structural systems and MEP coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills.
• Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Job Details

The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day field operations of commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction and mobilization through final completion and turnover.

Responsibilities include

• Manage all daily field operations and subcontractor activities
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and field personnel
• Oversee sitework, structural, building envelope, MEP and interior trades
• Conduct subcontractor coordination and progress meetings
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs and submittals
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects and engineers
• Monitor project quality, schedule and overall progress
• Ensure compliance with company and OSHA safety requirements
• Identify potential field issues and proactively develop solutions
• Manage punch list, inspections, closeout and project turnover

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with a commercial General Contractor or Construction Manager
• Experience managing ground-up commercial or industrial construction projects
• Strong understanding of sitework, structural systems and MEP coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades
• Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
• Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred
