Job summary

Harris Health seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform moderate and selected high complexity tests on clinical specimens across laboratory sections. You will validate and report results and perform quality control.

Maintain instrument and equipment, ensure adequate stock of reagents and supplies, and participate in continuing education to uphold accreditation standards. Willingness to travel between Harris Health System facilities.

Qualifications

• Certification by ASCP, NCA, or AMT or equivalent.
• Education aligned with Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
• Willingness to travel between Harris Health System facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Associate Degree/ Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related science Biology, Chemistry, or Physics/Certification by approved certifying agency, i.e., ASCP, NCA, AMT
• Work Experience: Recent Graduate must be certified by ASCP or equivalent Board within one year of graduation.
• Equipment Operated: PC, printers, scanners.
