Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED (associate/bachelor’s preferred).

Responsibilities

• Live onsite at Sunrise Lofts and act as a mentor, advocate, and resource for residents.
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and engaged community.
• Support residents in transitioning toward self-sufficiency while coordinating with property management and resident services staff.
• Handle emergencies with calm judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• Interact frequently with residents, staff, and community partners and manage multiple priorities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Resident Assistant lives onsite and serves as a mentor, advocate, and resource for Sunrise Lofts residents. This position supports residents as they transition toward self-sufficiency by fostering a safe, welcoming, and engaged community while promoting positive relationships among residents, property management, and resident services staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• Experience working in community engagement, residential services, social services, or customer service preferred.
• Experience with conflict resolution, mediation, or crisis intervention preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and community stakeholders preferred.
