Job summary

Flanigan's Enterprises in Florida is looking for a friendly host/hostess to greet guests warmly and guide them to tables. You will manage the seating flow, assist with the wait list, and answer guest questions with a hospitable attitude.

You will maintain the lobby area, restrooms, and front-of-house cleanliness, ensuring a smooth first impression for guests arriving and leaving. This is a full-time position with a five-day work week and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Florida statutes.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and escorts them to tables, and manages the Wait List.
• Answers telephone within 4 rings and directs guests to proper staff.
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and stocked with menus.
• Concludes guests’ visit with a friendly farewell.
• Performs shift changes, opening/closing duties, and sidework.
• Communicates guest questions to Manager on duty.
• Maintains restroom cleanliness and supplies.

Overview

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
