Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises in Florida seeks a friendly host/hostess to greet guests, manage seating, and oversee the wait list, ensuring a warm and efficient dining experience.

You will welcome guests with a smile, assist with inquiries, coordinate with the team, and keep the foyer and host stand orderly. Must be able to reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs; complete Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certification programs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Able to reach, bend, stoop frequently; lift up to 50 lbs.

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament.
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" and escorts them to tables.
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating.
• Communicates guest questions or concerns to Manager on duty.

Overview

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
