General Function

The Assistant Manager I partners with the Store/Multi‑Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, including selling, coaching, merchandising, talent acquisition, and retail excellence.

Responsibilities

• Utilize all company tools to deliver on the sales plan, develop associates, and achieve corporate objectives.
• Use reporting tools and business acumen to identify gaps, capitalize on successes, and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide ongoing coaching to associates, fostering growth and a motivating work environment.
• Acquire talent through networking, recruiting, and interviewing, in partnership with the Store/Multi‑Store Manager.
• Pursue opportunities for self‑development as defined in an individual development plan.
• Spend the majority of time on the sales floor, engaging with customers and driving sales.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships by maximizing all company tools.
• Consistently execute brand standards and store merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge, using learning tools for fashion and performance eyewear.
• Ensure execution of operational policies, procedures, and clear communication of brand strategy, promotions, contests, and incentives.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year(s) of retail experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of store operation.
• Detail‑oriented and uses critical thinking for operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service and/or retail experience.
• Previous leadership experience of 1+ year(s).

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $26.31 per hour. Compensation may include a bonus and/or commission plan, along with a comprehensive benefits package that may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and employee discounts.
