Job summary

Red River Commodities, Inc. is seeking a Direct Grower Procurement Manager to lead the regional direct-grower program for conventional confection, con-oil, and black oil sunflower seeds. This role drives sourcing strategy, grower recruitment, and contract execution to align supply with production and budget goals.

You will coordinate with growers, storage facilities, and cross-functional teams to optimize delivery and quality while monitoring market conditions and risk across the Midwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in agricultural procurement, origination, or grain merchandising.
• Experience negotiating agricultural contracts with growers.
• Knowledge of sunflower markets and regional supply dynamics preferred.
• Experience leading teams or projects in regional sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the direct-grower procurement strategy for sunflower seeds.
• Establish annual acreage, volume, and regional coverage goals based on demand and inventory.
• Identify priority regions and expand the grower network to ensure supply continuity.
• Negotiate grower contracts, pricing, premiums, and delivery terms.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to align with budgets and schedules.
