Job summary

Red River Commodities seeks a Direct Grower Procurement Manager to lead conventional confection, con-oil, and black oil sunflower seed sourcing. You will recruit growers, set annual acreage and delivery windows, and negotiate contracts to align supply with production needs.

You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to optimize procurement and ensure traceability and timely deliveries across the Midwest region.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in agricultural procurement, origination, or related work.
• Experience negotiating contracts with growers.
• Experience with sunflowers, edible seeds, or specialty grains preferred.
• Experience leading employees or regional sourcing programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute direct-grower procurement strategy for sunflower seeds.
• Establish annual acreage, volume, quality, and regional coverage goals.
• Expand grower network to improve supply continuity and regional diversification.
• Negotiate grower contracts, pricing, premiums, and delivery periods.
• Coordinate with Finance, Production Planning, and Supply Chain on budgets and planning.
