The Austin Stone Community Church is seeking a Kids Ministry Associate to work alongside the Kids Ministry Director to promote a healthy children’s ministry, teach and shepherd volunteers, and ensure kids hear the gospel in a loving, fun church setting.
You will support curriculum execution, volunteer development, and communications with families, while participating in Sunday services and church events. A strong emphasis on safety, administration, and teamwork guides daily work.
As part of the Congregation team at The Austin Stone Community Church, the Kids Ministry Associate (KMA) will serve alongside the Kids Ministry Director (KMD) to promote a healthy children’s ministry, and ensure that the children at their congregation are hearing the truth of God, experiencing the love of Christ, and having fun at church. The KMA will work closely with the congregation team and family ministries team. The KMA will report to the Kids Ministry Director.
Administration - Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement ministry programming. Integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan. Strong ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, with dependability and excellence.
Communication - Has clarity of speech and proper use of grammar. Demonstrated capacity to inspire, instruct, and encourage through effective communication in various settings. Able to communicate and work within a complex organizational structure with multiple levels of input. Ability to engage, interact with, teach, equip, and train children in a large group setting.
Detail Oriented & Organizational Skills - Proven skills in creating, implementing, maintaining, and following through on processes that ensure people are engaged, cared for, informed and connected. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Ability to lead, recruit, resource, and mobilize volunteer teams to scale. Able to successfully develop new and better ways to work and promotes a continuous improvement mentality.
Collaboration - Collaborate across the organization and with various ministry partners. Ability to integrate multiple perspectives and synthesize them into a cohesive plan.
