Job summary

Food AccessLA is seeking a part-time coordinator for the Hollywood Farmers Market to support on-site operations every Sunday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The role involves managing the Information Booth, guiding volunteers, and enforcing market rules while maintaining a clean and organized market environment.

Requirements include Spanish fluency and strong organizational and communication skills. Prior experience with farmers’ markets or community outreach is preferred, with a focus on serving

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish highly preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Experience or interest in farmers’ markets, community health, nutrition, food assistance programs, and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist with setup and takedown of the Information Booth.
• Serve as the primary on-site Information Booth staff person.
• Gather, organize and maintain market supplies.
• Respond to questions, concerns, and inquiries from vendors, customers, volunteers, and community partners.
• Communicate market policies, activities, and rules to all vendors.
• Check in, orient, and provide on-site training and guidance to market volunteers.
• Assist vendors with proper placement in stalls.
• Enforce Food AccessLA rules and other pertinent laws and regulations.
• Maintain market grounds and assure the site is clean after closing.
• Distribute load lists, market memos, and market correspondence to vendors.
