The New York Post is seeking an experienced editor for a part-time role (16-24 hours per week) with the Sunday staff. The editor will be a line and assignment editor who can transform breaking copy on deadline into The Post's signature tabloid voice for web and print.

You will mine, assign and edit stories across local, national and international news, provide direction to reporters, and collaborate with NYC's best journalists.

Competenze

• A minimum of 5 years of editing in a busy newsroom.
• Comfortable editing/re-writing both breaking news and long-form stories in lively tabloid prose for web and print.
• A keen understanding of the voice of the Post.
• A knack for finding stories our readers crave.
• A critical eye for facts and tone.
• Broad knowledge base.
• Willingness to collaborate and communicate with a close-knit team of NYC’s best journalists.
