Qualifications

• 3+ years reporting or newsroom experience (internships count).
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field.

Responsibilities

• Cover assigned stories and conduct interviews.
• Pitch stories for Sunday paper and Saturday web coverage.
• Rewrite and update existing stories as needed.
• Aggregate breaking news and trending topics from trusted sources.
• Write clean, engaging copy for print and digital.
• Collaborate with editors and reporters to develop strong story ideas.
• Stay on top of news developments and flag timely angles.
