City of Albuquerque seeks a Paratransit Chauffeur to safely operate ADA-accessible vehicles, follow passenger schedules, and transport riders with disabilities to and from appointments and events. You will work odd shifts, weekends, and special events with a focus on safety and reliability.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (or passing WorkKeys assessments) and a valid New Mexico driver's license. Training covers Sun Van procedures, safety checks, and appropriate reporting.
Safely operate a paratransit vehicle using an assigned passenger schedule to determine route; pick up, transport, and drop off persons whose disabilities prevent them from using fixed-route bus service; work odd shifts, weekends, and special events.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

The Workkeys® scores needed for this position are as follows:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Must pass physical exam and required drug testing and successfully complete Sun Van Chauffeur training.
Vehicle and garage environment; exposure to noise and fumes; work odd shifts, weekends and special events.
Essential and supplemental functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time; frequent pushing and pulling motions, squatting (repeated), kneeling and stooping (repeated bending) moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; operation of large motorized vehicles.
