Job summary

Latino Network is seeking an Extended Day Soccer Coach to work with the SUN Site Manager, providing after-school soccer drills and lessons focused on good sportsmanship and student development.

You will supervise groups of 10-15 children (ages 6-14), serve as a positive role model, and help create a safe, engaging after-school environment while supporting educational equity.

Qualifications

• Experience playing and practicing soccer; understanding the rules and regulations.
• Experience working with school-aged children from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Desire and ability to work with children to ensure an enriching, positive, and safe classroom setting.
• Experience developing and effectively executing plans for the day to a diversity of students.
• Ability to document work continually and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Possess strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple and varied tasks.
• Sensitivity and ability to relate to people from diverse lifestyles, socioeconomic levels, and cultures.
• Willingness to work as a team member and support the mission and goals of Latino Network.

Position Title: Soccer Coach

Reports To: SUN Community School Site Manager

Classification: Part-time, Non-Exempt, Temporary

Compensation: $18 per hour

As part of a dedicated team working toward a shared vision, the SUN Extended Day Instructor is charged with supporting the SUN Community School Site Manager. ADDITIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly work in the school, and in the community as needed, including client homes, schools, churches, parks, community centers, etc
• Evening and weekend availability may be required, and work hours are flexible to accommodate program implementation; long hours during peak periods
• Reliable car, driver’s license, and automobile liability insurance; must be eligible to be an insured driver under Latino Network’s Commercial Auto Liability
• May require heavy lifting and walking during events and outreach activities
• Undergoing criminal and passing background check including fingerprinting is required
