Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer in Columbus, OH is seeking summer interns for a range of water-related assignments. You will join in early studies through construction phases on pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities, with field investigations and site visits.

You will work with experienced engineers, gain practical design experience, and have mentoring opportunities, with potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited B.S./M.S. in environmental, civil, chemical, or agricultural engineering.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participate in fieldwork, site visits and potential client meetings.
• Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports.
• Work directly with experienced engineering team providing mentoring opportunities to learn and develop.
• Manage data for process modeling and design.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment.
• Support multiple projects from planning through construction.
