Job summary

A water resource management company is seeking an intern for its Cincinnati office. This role offers the chance to work on various water-related projects, including treatment facilities and distribution systems. Interns will receive mentorship from experienced engineers and gain practical experience. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited program and possesses strong communication and organizational skills. There will also be potential opportunities for full-time employment upon graduation.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in group settings.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with experienced engineering team providing mentoring opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Sit on a project team from initial studies and conceptual design through construction.
  • Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies and design reports.
  • Manage data for process modeling and design.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment.
  • Participate in fieldwork and local site visits.

Job description

Work Setting: In-person (All in office/field)

Hazen is seeking an intern in our Cincinnati office. As part of our design and process teams, you will work on a variety of water-related assignments. Project opportunities include drinking water treatment facilities and distribution systems, wastewater treatment facilities, sewer and stormwater collection systems, and other water resource management projects.
