Job summary

HexArmor is seeking a videography intern to join our New Media team for summer 2027 in Grand Rapids, MI. You will develop concepts, shoot on-site and studio footage, and edit content for social media and product marketing.

You’ll learn storytelling, stay current with trends, and contribute ideas under the guidance of the New Media Director. Strong interest in video production and creativity, plus basic editing skills in Premiere Pro/After Effects, will help you thrive in this 14-week, full-time

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Video Production, Film, Media Production, Graphic Design, Creative Writing, Marketing, or a related field. Seeking 2027 and 2028 graduates.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or related creative tools.
• Basic photography and cinematography skills.
• Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Capture on-site and studio footage using HexArmor-provided video equipment.
• Develop creative concepts and ideas for short-form video and social media.
• Film and produce engaging content that highlights HexArmor products.
• Edit footage into polished, brand-aligned deliverables.
• Add motion effects, graphics, music, and transitions.
• Follow trends and incorporate them into content.
• Collaborate with the New Media team and other teams.
• Support photography and cinematography needs.
• Maintain video/audio equipment and archives.
• Track time and manage video projects via JIRA or similar tools.
• Use AI tools to streamline editing workflows.
• Assist with additional video projects.
