• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or related creative tools.
• Basic photography and cinematography skills.
• Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Videography Intern to join our New Media team for the summer of 2027. The Videography Intern will work closely with the New Media Director to create engaging short-form video content for social media, streaming channels, product marketing, and other digital platforms. This role will provide hands-on experience developing creative concepts, filming, editing, and producing content that showcases HexArmor products and the brand in engaging ways.

The right candidate will have a strong interest in video production, storytelling, and current social media and video trends. The Videography Intern will have the opportunity to contribute creative ideas, work alongside team members on video concepts, and independently develop content with guidance from the New Media Director.

LOCATION

Onsite at HexArmor Corporate Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan (640 Leffingwell Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI)

SCHEDULE

This is a 14-week, full-time internship beginning May 17, 2027. Interns will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during our standard business hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capture on-site and studio footage using HexArmor-provided video, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Develop creative concepts and ideas for short-form video, product content, and social media.
• Film and produce engaging content that highlights HexArmor products and their applications.
• Edit recorded footage into engaging, polished, and brand-aligned final deliverables.
• Add motion effects, graphics, music, transitions, and sound design to enhance storytelling.
• Follow current video, social media, and content trends and identify opportunities to incorporate them into HexArmor content.
• Collaborate with the New Media team and other internal teams to develop and execute creative content.
• Support photography and cinematography needs for product and brand content.
• Maintain and manage video and audio equipment, digital storage systems, and content archives.
• Track time and manage video projects through JIRA or similar project management tools.
• Use basic AI tools and technologies to streamline video editing workflows, support creative ideation, and improve efficiency.
• Assist with additional video, photography, and creative projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Currently pursuing a degree in Video Production, Film, Media Production, Graphic Design, Creative Writing, Marketing, or a related field. Seeking 2027 and 2028 graduates.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or related creative tools.
• Basic photography and cinematography skills.
• Strong creative thinking and storytelling skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience creating video or other digital content through coursework, internships, personal projects, or extracurricular activities.
• Experience creating content for social media platforms.
• Portfolio or examples of video, photography, or other creative work.
