Globe Life is seeking a Vendor Risk Management Intern for Summer 2027 to join the Risk and Compliance team in McKinney, TX. The role focuses on supporting the VRM program through assessments, documentation, and regulatory knowledge development.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure third-party risk controls and classifications are accurate, while building foundational experience in vendor risk governance during a 10-week on-site internship.

Competenze

• Two or more years of coursework towards a Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or another quantitative-based field.
• Working knowledge of fundamental risk principles and leading practices.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively under close supervision.
• Ability to generate ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Knowledge of third-party risk management governance frameworks, especially in financial services, is a plus.
• Industry certifications related to risk management are a plus.

Mansioni

• Perform vendor risk assessments for due diligence and ongoing oversight.
• Classify third-party vendors and complete IQ/RFQs for Globe Life products and services.
• Maintain risk assessment documentation with findings, ratings, justifications, and recommendations.
• Maintain third-party data and inventory in risk management tools.
• Prepare dashboards and reports summarizing vendor review results for senior staff.
• Support monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) as directed.
• Support development and tracking of corrective action plans for identified risks.
