Job summary

100 Miami University is seeking a Student Master 1 Undergrad - Mentor/Tutor for its Upward Bound program. The role involves mentoring high school students and supporting their academic growth during a six-week summer program.

The Tutor-Mentor will work closely with students, fostering community and excellence. Required qualifications include being a rising college student with at least 30 earned college credits and a minimum GPA of 2.80. The position is temporary and based on the Miami University Hamilton campus.

Qualifications

• Rising college sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduates in good academic standing.
• Available from June 1st – July 17th.
• Experience working with high‑school students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor groups of students, planning and facilitating workshops.
• Communicate students’ progress with Upward Bound staff.
• Facilitate student learning and help develop study skills.
