Job summary

Stfrancis is seeking a detail‑oriented student to learn the foundations of trust administration in a professional setting. You will gain practical experience with various trust types and fiduciary accounting while supporting daily trust operations and estate settlement tasks.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, strong communication, and problem solving. A 3.0+ GPA is expected, with optional JD pursuit and CTFA designation support.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, economics, accounting, or related field.
• Optional: Pursuing a JD.
• Academic success with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Agreement to work towards obtaining the CTFA designation.

Responsibilities

• Gain an overview of the process of trust administration.
• Get hands-on experience with revocable, irrevocable, grantor, charitable, and life insurance trusts.
• Understand fiduciary accounting and a trust accounting system.
• Facilitate account opening and closing processes.
• Perform and monitor daily trust administration tasks for the Trusts Officer’s book of business.
• Prepare receipts and disbursements.
• Research trust terms governing each relationship and document.
• Assist in estate settlement processes.
• Contribute to team projects.
