Job summary

Materials Transport, Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking a summer Transportation Coordinator intern starting May/early June 2027, through August 2027. The program provides paid learning experiences and exposure to dispatch, operations, and vendor coordination.

You will partner with office staff, assist with hauler needs, and support field performance coordination on customer and construction jobs while gaining insights into day-to-day trucking operations and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with vendors, service providers, and all levels of employees.
• Must be self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Partner with office personnel to assist with hauler needs, set up, and maintenance.
• Liaison with Dispatch, Construction, Operations, Scales, and Hired Haulers regarding safety and performance.
• Field Performance coordination on customer and construction jobs as needed.
• Work to maintain hauler relationships and increase trucking/barging assets from current vendors.
• Assist the Dispatch Manager in procuring hauler assets to meet day-to-day needs as determined by customer orders.
