Job summary

Matrix designs, manufactures, and sells innovative technological products. We are seeking a Test and Validation Engineer Intern for a 2027 Summer Internship at our Newburgh, IN home office.

You will help ensure product quality through comprehensive testing and validation activities in a team environment. The role reports to the Manager of Testing and Validation and includes developing test environments, executing tests (functional, regression, performance, usability, security), and documenting

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• Experience with lab tools and basic hardware testing.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies for software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training to gain proficiency with lab tools and testing procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements.
• Develop a testing framework and define testing parameters.
• Implement the framework to monitor, document results, and troubleshoot.
• Aide in developing test environments and test cases for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Create and maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, results, and processes.
