Job summary

FHLB Dallas is seeking an undergraduate or graduate junior or senior to join our Internal Audit department for an 11-week paid summer internship. Working closely with our Technology Audit staff, you will gain practical experience across cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data analytics, and the governance of artificial intelligence.

This role performs professional auditing work of low to moderate difficulty and complexity and provides assistance to other professional auditors.

Qualifications

• Active student enrolled in an accredited college or university as a junior or senior.
• Pursuing a degree in auditing, MIS, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud, AI, CS, accounting or related field.
• Completed coursework spanning technical/analytical and accounting/audit or risk subjects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical matters to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrates integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of FHLB Dallas technology audit approach, methods and tools.
• Assist in testing IT general controls across access management, change management, and IT operations including SOX-relevant testing.
• Prepare audit workpapers documenting procedures and results.
• Apply data analytics to evaluate populations of access, change, and activity records.
• Assist in evaluating cloud controls within Microsoft Azure and Entra ID.
• Assist in evaluating cybersecurity/cloud/AI controls against frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS Controls, FFIEC).
• Contribute to assessments of AI governance including model inventory and data lineage.
• Assist in preparing written audit recommendations presented to auditee.
• Establish effective working relationships with client personnel and apply risk assessment concepts.
