Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas invites undergraduate juniors and seniors to join a paid Summer Internship Program in our Internal Audit department. The intern will support engagements across technology, cybersecurity, financial, and operational areas, gaining exposure to controls testing and SOX processes.

You will work with Internal Audit staff to perform auditing tasks, develop data analytics routines, and contribute to written recommendations.

Qualifications

• Active and enrolled student in an accredited college or university, classified as a junior or senior.
• Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, MIS, data analytics, cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• Completed coursework must include at least one accounting, audit, or risk course and at least one quantitative, information systems, or CS course.
• Overall GPA of 3.25 or better.
• Proficient in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical matters to a non-technical audience.
• Demonstrates integrity and confidentiality in challenging assignments.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of the audit approach, methodology, and tools.
• Participate in audits of financial, compliance, operational, and IT areas.
• Assist in testing internal controls and SOX testing.
• Prepare audit work papers documenting procedures and results.
• Apply data analytics to evaluate complete populations of data.
• Assist in preparing audit recommendations and reports.
• Establish effective working relationships with client personnel and risk concepts.
