Job summary

Palomar Holdings, Inc. invites ambitious students to join its Summer Internship Program in La Jolla, CA, with opportunities across Data & Analytics, Product Management, Software Engineering, Automation & Process Improvement, and Technology Operations & Infrastructure.

During the 9-week program (June–August), interns work on real projects, gain hands-on technical experience, collaborate with engineering and analytics teams, and present project outcomes to Palomar's leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enrolled as undergraduate or graduate student (Actuarial Sci, Math, Stats, Eng, Econ, Finance preferred).
• Min 8 weeks availability, potential to extend to 10 weeks.
• Hybrid in-office/remote work arrangement.
• Actuarial exam passed preferred.
• Final offers by February 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support development, testing, or maintenance of reports, dashboards, data models, or product features.
• Assist with automation, tooling, or process-improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams on enhancements.
• Perform data validation, QA, and analysis to support decisions.
• Document technical processes, standards, and definitions.
• Present findings or product updates to stakeholders.
