Job summary

Fishbeck in Dayton, OH is seeking a Survey Internship for Summer 2027. You will work with our Surveying team to assist with evaluations and design of water and wastewater projects, gaining hands-on experience in field and office environments.

This paid internship offers exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation, collaboration across offices, and opportunities for development in a 100% employee-owned firm committed to growth and learning.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Micro Station experience, preferably in the land development industry.
• Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
• GPS knowledge is a plus.
• Possess valid driver’s license.
• Available for occasional travel, long hours, and occasional weekends.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow direction, and work independently.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.
• Analyze data and help prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and survey professionals across multiple offices.
• Participate in site visits and client meetings to observe project conditions firsthand.
