Job summary

AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation is offering a 10-week Operations Intern program in Louisville, KY. The intern will work onsite at the distribution center, gain exposure to multiple supply chain functions, and rotate through departments with mentorship from leaders.

You will contribute to data analysis, metrics development, and daily/weekly workload planning while learning business processes and leadership skills in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations/Logistics, Organizational Leadership & Supervision, or Business Management
• Graduate with bachelor’s degree within one year of internship completion
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of various supply chain functions and disciplines
• Assist in analysis and development of supply chain metrics and business processes
• Report findings to team members and management
• Experience setting and planning daily/weekly workload to support priorities
• Work on projects and manage time with minimal supervision
• Organize and facilitate team meetings
• Be flexible to work across shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends
• Participate in internship program training and events
• Develop interpersonal and communication skills to lead a frontline workgroup
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and take on new assignments
• Gaining understanding of all business areas to develop business acumen
• Foster an inclusive, safe and secure culture
• Carry out duties by department through internship rotations
