Job summary

Start your Voyage – Get to Know the Opportunity: This position is part of Voya Investment Management (Voya IM) and our Summer Student Program, offering students the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the investment management industry while working alongside professionals across the Voya IM organization. This role supports the production team in the underwriting and origination of new commercial mortgage loans. The Summer Student will work alongside analysts and loan officers, gaining exposure to the underwriting, approval, and closing processes while collaborating with teams across the real estate group. This role is based in our Atlanta office, with expected onsite presence on average up to 4 days per week to support team and business priorities.

Contributions You’ll Make

• Assist with underwriting new commercial mortgage loans, committee approvals, and the drafting and acceptance of term sheets.
• Participate with deal teams in discussions with mortgage banking correspondents.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate (preferred) or related field.
• Basic understanding of income statements and balance sheets.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Goal-oriented with a willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience

• Technical knowledge of commercial real estate as an investment class.

Compensation Pay Disclosure

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. $23.00/hr. USD
