Job summary

Talanto in Madison, WI is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week summer program. You will assist with analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems for buildings and other structures, under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with AutoCAD and BIM software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural analysis, design, and implementation of systems within project budgets.
• Support design portions of projects according to codes and standards.
• Research and locate resources for projects and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines such as architectural, electrical, mechanical, and suppliers.
• Document decisions and meetings, and monitor design progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
