Job summary

Wight & Company, a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, and construction firm, seeks a Building Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Darien, Illinois office. You will collaborate with our engineering and design teams on creative structural solutions and gain exposure to real projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Civil Engineering degrees, have strong organizational and computer skills, familiarity with Revit, and a willingness to learn and contribute.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, entering junior year or MS in Structural Engineering by summer 2027.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Revit BIM experience preferred.
• Willing to learn and enjoy teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work with junior and senior engineers to develop creative solutions to design challenges.
• Expand technical and computer skills for day-to-day activities.
• Attend team and client meetings in-house and on-site.
• Opportunity to advance group initiatives and objectives.
• Provide meaningful contributions to project advancement and completion.
