Job summary

Merck Rahway, NJ offers the Future Talent Program internship for 10–12 weeks in our Research Labs division, focusing on sterile drug product formulation across various modalities. Interns gain hands-on experience and a chance to learn about translating a therapeutic agent into a patient-ready product.

Interns will work with experienced scientists, present findings orally and in writing, and learn the drug development process in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (sophomore, junior, or senior) OR a Master's/PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Intern must be available to work full-time for 10-12 weeks from June – August 2027.
• Candidates must have completed a minimum of two years of study toward a bachelor’s degree by June 2027.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn drug development processes in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Collaborate in a multi-functional team and participate in meetings.
• Present research results orally and in writing.
• Assist with formulation development of sterile products across modalities.
