Job summary

NRG Energy is hiring a Summer DTH Installation Technician to join our Direct-to-Home smart home pros team. This seasonal role requires 100% travel and may include temporary relocation during the summer.

You will earn piece-rate pay with an unlimited commission plan and gain hands-on experience installing, servicing and troubleshooting smart home technology in customers' homes, while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in retail or service-based sales preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse customers with integrity.
• Experience in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar helpful but not required.
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation; must live within 20 miles.

Responsibilities

• Earn piece-rate pay and an unlimited commission plan.
• Become an expert on smart home technology through training on industry-leading products.
• Install, service and troubleshoot smart home technology in customer homes.
• Manage inventory and assets with a business-owner mindset.
• Explain system capabilities and provide operational instructions to customers.
• Help grow the business by converting service appointments into additional sales.
