Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking Direct-to-Home Smart Home Pros for a seasonal summer 2026 role in Lafayette, LA. Install, service, and troubleshoot smart home technology in customers’ homes, manage inventory, and nurture leads from service appointments into sales. 100% travel and potential temporary relocation are required.

You’ll train on industry-leading products, earn piece-rate pay with an unlimited commission plan, and join a team focused on safety, honesty, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service-based sales is a major plus.
• Strong customer focus and integrity with diverse customers.
• Technical aptitude with home services, cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful but not required.

• Manage inventory and assets with a business owner mentality.
