Job summary

WoodmenLife is seeking a Scrum Master Intern for Summer 2027 in Omaha, NE. You will support Agile practices, facilitate ceremonies, and help the team plan, forecast, and continuously improve. This paid internship includes mentorship, real-world experience in insurance tech, and opportunities to contribute to cross-team initiatives.

The program emphasizes collaboration with leadership and the internship cohort to deliver value and grow Lean-Agile skills in a supportive, not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• Sophomore/Junior/Senior in college and pursuing related field.
• GPA 3.5 or higher required.
• Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Aptitude to learn Agile tools supporting metrics and tracking.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, execution, and evaluation of projects within Agile teams.
• Assist with Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, Retrospectives.
• Support the team in identifying impediments and maintaining a prioritized backlog.
• Coach team members on Agile principles and practices to enable self-management.
• Use team metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and guide performance.
