Qualifications
Required: Prior Administrator experience.
Preferred: Knowledge of research based instructional practices.
Preferred: Knowledge of current educational research.
Preferred: Experience with APEX.
Preferred: Understanding and use of current technology.
Preferred: Knowledge of learning styles and working with adults.
Preferred: Effective written and oral communication skills.
Preferred: Ability to utilize data to inform instructional decisions.
Preferred: Willingness to work as a team.
Responsibilities
Monitor attendance of Summer School Staff and Students.
Address student behavior.
Supervise Staff and Teachers at each site.
Procure substitutes for teacher absences during Summer School.
Submit data required by Learning Service Department.
Attend all Summer School Administrator meetings.
Complete classroom walkthroughs.
Work with Building Principal to secure needed classrooms/media.
Ensure material orders are submitted.
Coordinate transportation regarding bus schedules and behavior issues.
Hire summer school staff.
Transcribe student grades.
Plan and implement High School Summer School Graduation.
Perform other responsibilities assigned as Summer School Administrator.
