Pilot Company is seeking a Safety Intern to join our Knoxville team for summer 2027. You will support the safety program, assist with risk reduction, and help implement programs that protect team members while gaining hands-on experience in safety management and operational excellence.

Under guidance from experienced safety professionals, you’ll gather data, analyze observations and audits, and help develop practical procedures.

Competenze

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with safety management systems or risk management is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel; ability to create graphs and use formulas.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.

• Assist with the development and enhancement of safety programs, procedures, and policies designed to reduce risk and promote safe operations.
• Collect and analyze safety data from inspections, audits, and operations to identify trends and inform initiatives.
• Develop procedures and recommendations to improve safety performance based on observed risks.
• Collaborate with Retail Operations, Energy Operations, and other stakeholders to address safety needs.
• Create and deliver safety communications and presentations to educate teams.
